Heath Ledger’s The Joker Rumored To Appear In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
An interesting rumor has been brewing online that director Christopher Nolan is planning to bring Heath Ledger‘s Joker back in The Dark Knight Rises.
As you know Ledger passed away back in 2008, but now there’s a chance he’ll be brought back to life for the next Batman film.
Show Biz Spy is currently reporting that Nolan plans on using unseen footage from Ledger’s Dark Knight performance as the Joker in his upcoming Dark Knight Rises. An insider reveals that the
“idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time. Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker. It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath’s family.”
This seems a little shocking to me and gives me an uneasy feeling. I don’t want to sound morbid or cross the line, but part of me interested in seeing this if it can be done correctly and could truly pay tribute to Ledger. The other part of me feels that this is very close to crossing the line. More importantly than what you or I think is the opinion of Heath Ledger’s family!
