Ron Perlman Confirms He Will Not Star In THE HOBBIT
Ron Perlman will not be starring in Peter Jackson‘s two-part adaptation of The Hobbit.
Perlman confirmed that he will not be showing up in Perlman simply said, “I’m not doing [it].”
The actor was rumored to be attached to the project under Guillermo del Toro. The assumption that he would stay on the project after Del Toro left was incorrect. During the production fiasco surrounding the film, Perlman went ahead and made other plans.
Perlman is a strong character actor and brings a lot to his movies and the same would have been true for his role in The Hobbit. He will next be seen co-starring with Nicolas Cage in Season of the Witch and will once again work with del Toro in the H.P. Lovecraft adaptation At the Mountains of Madness in addition to a number of other film and television projects.
