Ed Westwick To Star In J.EDGAR
Ed Westwick has has been cast in a supporting role in Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar biopic. The film is about manipulative FBI director J. Edgar Hoover that stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Armie Hammer.
Westwick (Gossip Girl) will play a clean cut operative with writing skill. Once Hoover discovers he can write, he conscripts Agent Smith to write Hoover’s biography, until Smith gets a little too close to the truth.
Yesterday we reported that Charlize Theron opted out of the film and may be up for a role in the Alienprequel. Both Amy Adams and Noomi Rapace are reportedly being conisered for the role that Theron vacated.
I have never watched Gossip Girl, but I am sure fans of Westwick will love this news. He looks like he will be right at home wearing a suit and dressing up in the clothing popular of the period.
