First Sony Ericsson XPERIA PLAY Images & Video Released

Here is your first look of the Xperia Play from Sony Ericsson

The phone has not had an official release so everything to follow is subject to change. Click the pics below for larger views:


The gang over at Engadget were able to load an original Playstation and GameBoy Advance emulator on their phone. They report that the handful of games they tried (Ridge Racer Revolution, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, Gundam Battle Assault 2, and Super Mario Bros. 4) all worked pretty well.   • HSDPA phone with Gingerbread
  • 4-inch multitouch 854 x 480 LCD
  • Rumored Bravia powered screen for improved video playback
  • Single-core processor clocking anywhere between 122.88MHz and 1GHz
  • Gingerbread and the generous 512MB of RAM, 
  • Wi-Fi
  • 720p Video
  • BCM4329 wireless chip (capable of 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, and FM receiver plus transmitter)
