Hailee Steinfeld Rumored To Be Starring In THE HUNGER GAMES
Hailee Steinfeld received the role of a lifetime when she was cast by the Coen Brother’s in True Grit. Many actors her age would crumble under the pressure of working alongside Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon, but not Hailee. Her portrayal of Mattie Ross was so powerful that on many occasions she stole the scene from her veteran co-stars. The big question is what will her next role be?
As you can expect, the roles have been pouring in for the 14 year-old actor. She will have a tone of great parts to pick from in a variety of different films. According to Cinematical her next film is likely to be The Hunger Games adapted from Suzanne Collins novel.
Gary Ross is set to direct the film which is set in the future where a lottery picks a group of children every year to battle to the death on live TV. The main story is about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen who bravely offers to take the place of her sister after she is chosen. Strangely enough (to me at least) Ross is aiming for a PG-13 rating.
This is still just a rumor, but one that I would love to see come to fruition. I can definitely see Steinfeld kicking ass and taking names in The Hunger Games. I agree that Chloe Moretz would be great in the role, but I would love to Steinfeld get a shot in a more violent role. Moretz has done both Kick-Ass and Let Me In wonderfully.
