Sylvester Stallone to star as hitman in HEADSHOT
Sylvester Stallone is set to star in the lead role in the upcoming action film Headshot!
The film directed by Wayne Kramer (The Cooler) based on a script from Alessandro Camon (The Messenger) that has Stallone as a New Orleans hitman who teams up with a New York City cop. Smallville‘s Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are producing.
THR reports that the story follow’s “Stallone’s character as he teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.”
Filming will begin in May in Louisiana and New York. Stallone is working on a sequel to Expendales, but I’m not sure if it will get made before or after Headshot. It will be interesting to see how much longer Stallone can keep up the action films.
