ZERO BOYS, MIKEY ERG and more added to Best Friends Day 10

The organizers of Richmond, Virginia’s Best Friends Day are excited to announce the latest additions to this year’s line-up, which takes place August 18 – 21, 2011.  These include ZERO BOYS, KEVIN SECONDS, MIKEY ERG, TUBERS, SEXY CRIMES and local legends GROWN ASS MEN. Keep reading for the for more details on the event!

Best Friends Day is a Richmond tradition of bringing together friends from all over the country (and world) for a weekend of bands, events, and more.  Over the years it has grown from a one-day party at Hadad’s Lake to a sprawling four-day festival that brings nationally recognized bands and people from all over the world to see music, hang out, and make new friends.  Highlights for this year include AGAINST ME!, 7 SECONDS, CONVERGE, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, PG 99 (Reunion), BARONESS and hometown heroes STRIKE ANYWHERE.

This year’s Friday night show is almost sold out, so make sure to get your tickets while you can through the Canal Club website.  For those who aren’t able to get Friday tickets in time, never fear, there are two new shows that have been added to Friday this year!  The first will take place at Mojos and kick off the second annual Best Friends Day Field Day Challenge event in which 10 teams of 4 will compete in 10 events designed specificially for Best Friends Day.  So put together a team now and start practicing stupid things like eating way too much jello and running with a tennis ball between your knees (neither of which will be events, but are sure to exercise muscles you will need to win!).  The second show will be a Friday matinee at Strange Matter.

Stay tuned for more details on venues and a complete schedule soon!
