RUSH Trailer Features Intense New Footage
A new Rush trailer has arrived online from director Ron Howard. It features news footage from the intense Formula One racing film that tells the true story of the rivalry between drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda in 1976. Rush Official Synopsis:
The film stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) as the charismatic Englishman James Hunt and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) as the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda, whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives. Olivia Wilde (TRON: Legacy) and Alexandra Maria Lara (The Reader) also star in the film.
I have been a fan of Ron Howard as a director since Backdraft. With Backdraft Howard crafted one of the most realistic takes on being a firefighter, and it looks as though he’s done the same with this Formula One story. The performances look like some of the best dramatic work for the cast as well. I am now officially excited to see this in theaters. Rush speeds into theaters on September 20th, 2013
