24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY Headed to London
Jack Bauer is back, and this time he’s in the UK. Entertainment Weekly reports that 24: Live Another Day will start filming in London in January. Kiefer Sutherland is back as Jack, Mary Lynn Rajskub will return as Chloe. Howard Gordon will serve as executive producer for the reboot debuting next summer.
Here is what Sutherland had to say:
“‘24’ has always had such a global sensibility. But to be able to tell this intense ‘24’-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating. Hopefully, by the time you’re finished watching an episode, you’ll feel like you’ve been there…on the edge of your seat.”
Co-showrunner and executive producer Evan Katz had this to say:
“We wanted the show’s return to be an event, and part of that was putting Jack in a very different context. Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London.”
Fox is planning 24: Live Another Day as an “event” show that will have 12 episodes during the summer in an effort to tie together the seasons. This is similar to the manner in which Under the Dome helped tie the seasons together this summer.
