GOTHAM Trailer is Full of Awesome
The Gotham trailer finally premiered yesterday. After watching this extended trailer we are pretty excited.The Batman prequel series looks dark and gritty. The two minute trailer gives us a sense of the show’s direction and picks up after the tragic murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents.
We’re still curious on what direction the network is planning to take the show. Will it have a Smallville feel to it, albeit with a much darker tone? Or will we see some cop procedural with the typical Gotham intrigue like in the crime noir comic book series Gotham Central, by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka?
Synopsis:
Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?
The show features all of your favorite characters, including Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and Poison Ivy (Clare Foley).
Gotham premieres this fall on FOX.
