First JURASSIC WORLD Photos Arrive and They’re Pretty Boring
The first Jurassic World photos have arrived and unfortunately they are pretty boring. The photos, courtesy of EW, give us a peak at the set of the highly-anticipated sequel. Directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), the film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath and Lauren Lapkus.
Not much is known about the story at this point. It was written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. The film offers a new sci-fi/terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of the original Jurassic Park.
Here is whata Trevorrow had to say to EW about the film:
“Yesterday I was under a construction crane with Chris Pratt, covered with dirt, eyeballing the exact height of the dinosaur trying to kill him,” he says. “We both cracked up laughing. Sometimes you just have to stop and let the joy take over.”

I remember seeing Jurassic Park multiple times in the theaters. One day I went to see it with one group of friends and went back to the theater that same day with another group. I’m glad to hear that Steven Spielberg is involved as an executive producer. Jurassic World has a lot of hype around it, so I hope that it will deliver. Trevorrow did a good job with a small budget on Safety Not Guaranteed, so it will be interesting to see what he can do with a large budget.
Jurassic World arrives in theaters on June 12, 2015.
