Juxtapoz Special Adult Swim Issue
The Art and Culture magazine Juxtapoz, in a collaboration with Adult Swim, is dedicating an entire issue solely to the network for the month of July, 2012.
The cover of the issue (feat. Black Dynamite) can be seen in a preview over on Juxtapoz’s website, along with a handful of beautiful and terrifying images that will be featured in the magazine.
The issue will consist of exclusive show-related pieces by various artists, as well as exclusive interviews with “the makers of Venture Bros, Squidbillies, Metalocalypse, Superjail!, Aqua Teen, Childrens Hospital, Robot Chicken, and Loiter Squad.”
Judging by the preview images, this appears to include interviews with: Black Dynamite writer and executive producer Carl Jones, Aqua Teen etc.’s Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, Robot Chicken creators/show-runners Seth Green and Matt Senreich, as well as animator/puppet fabricator Tennessee Reid Norton, Childrens Hospital creator and star Rob Corddry, Superjail co-creator Christy Karacas, Metalocalypse creator and human form of Dethklok Brendon Small, Squidbillies creators and writers Jim Fortier and Dave Willis (again), and Venture Bros. creators/show-runners Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick.
If you’d like a copy of the magazine you can buy a year subscription (I know that’s like twelve issues, but lets be honest, if you want all this Adult-Swim-related art, you’re probably going to also enjoy the stuff offered in other issues) either in hard-copy form or in downloadable form from the magazine’s online shop.
While your waiting for that to come out and show up, you can enjoy all the sleep you’re not going to ever get ever again because of that nightmarish Carl from ATHF/AUPS1/ASYKW bust.
UPDATE: Apparently this can be found in some places in the present. Our own Jason/Zetacoes spotted copies at a Barnes and Noble and at Forbidden Planet in NYC.
