Sam Raimi to direct ARMY OF DARKNESS 2
It looks as though Sam Raimi is directing Army of Darkness 2. Bruce Campbell announced at Wizard World Nashville Comic Con that he would return as Ash for Army of Darkness 2. Director Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead remake) was asked by a fan if he was going to direct the Army of Darkness sequel. He responded by tweeting that Sam Raimi would be directing the sequel instead. Sam Raimi wrote and directed Army of Darkness, which hit theaters in 1992. It starred Bruce Campbell, Embeth Davidtz, Marcus Gilbert, Ian Abercrombie, Richard Grove, Bridget Fonda, Patricia Tallman and Ted Raimi. The film cost only $13 million to make, but brought in $21 million at the box office making it a cult classic ready for a sequel.
