PROMETHEUS Sequel Finds Writer in Michael Green
20th Century Fox has found a writer for the Prometheus sequel to be directed by Ridley Scott. The Wrap reports that Michael Green has been hired to rewrite the script. The initial draft was penned by Jack Paglen, who wrote the script for the upcoming Johnny Depp film Transcendence.
Green wrote Green Lantern, and worked with Scott on the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. Hopefully Blade Runner and the Prometheus sequel will be a lot better than Green Lantern. The good news is that he was also worked on TV shows such as Heroes, Smallville, and was hired to write The Flash.
The Wrap’s sources also report that Green’s script will be much closer to the original scarier Alien films. Sources say that the sequel is expected to feature multiple ‘David’ androids. This is great news for fans of Michael Fassbender, which I am. One of my favorite aspects of Prometheus was his character.
The Prometheus sequel will be Scott’s next project. Filming is slated to begin in the fall with a release date on the currently untitled film of March 2016.
