LONDON HAS FALLEN Blu-ray Review
London Has Fallen is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD, The sequel to the surprise hit, Olympus Has Fallen is directed by Babak Najafi. Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Sean O’Bryan, and Morgan Freeman reprise their original roles. They are joined by Alon Moni Aboutboul (The Dark Knight Rises), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Charlotte Riley (Edge of Tomorrow), and Waleed F. Zuaiter (Homeland).
London Has Fallen is one that I am happy I missed in theaters. The film is basically a chance for Gerard Butler to kick ass on screen. The characters are basically on the run for the entire film. There are a number of intense action sequences, but the film is boring.
I felt that they were not expecting the first one to be such a moneymaker and the powers that be at the studio decided that they HAD to put out a sequel. The story may sound good on paper, but is rather laughable. I like to try to keep an open mind when it comes to action films, but the idea that a president will be kidnapped not once, but twice during his presidency is ludicrous.
If you are looking for a decent action movie, check out Olympus Has Fallen. If you are looking for a sub par action film, rent/buy London Has Fallen. Keep reading for more information about the Blu-ray and to check out a clip from the film.
