THE BIG BANG THEORY Renewed For Three More Years!
CBS announced that The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for three more years during the Television Critics Association’s midseason press tour.
The Big Bang Theory has had a meteoric rise in the ratings since it first aired back in 2007. It is currently in its fourth season. Here are some cool ratings stats: the first season averaged approximately 8 million viewers;t the third season has averaged 14 million viewers and the fourth season is right on track to meet or exceed that number. Pretty amazing considering that the show that’s been on the air for only four years.
Jim Parsons won an Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and is also nominated for a 2011 Golden Globe.
The Big Bang Theory will return from its short winter hiatus with a new episode on January 20.
