Doug Liman in talks to direct Tom Hardy in SPLINTER CELL movie
Doug Liman is in final talks to direct the feature film adaptation of Splinter Cell. THR reports that Liman (Swingers, Go, The Bourne Identity) would direct Tom Hardy in the film based on the popular Tom Clancy video game franchise.
Liman recently directed the awesome looking sci-fi film Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise. Splinter Cell was originally in the works at DreamWorks and Paramount with Peter Berg in the directors chair. New Regency with Ubisoft are overseeing the current incarnation of the project. Eric Singer (American Hustle) wrote the script.
Splinter Cell follows Sam Fisher, a spy for a secret government organization called Third Echelon which fights terrorists. Liman is a great director, and I think he’s a great choice to helm the film.
Are you looking forward to a Splinter Cell movie?
