MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5 May Gain Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson (White Queen) may join the cast of Mission Impossible 5. Variety reports that Baldwin and Ferguson are in negotiations to join Tom Cruise in the next installment
As is usual, plot details are scarce at the moment. Variety’s sources claim that “Baldwin’s character would be a high-ranking CIA officer who oversee Cruise’s division”, similar to the role Lawrence Fishburne had in Missions Impossible III. Ferguson would replace Jessica Chastain who was in talks, but dropped out of negotiations. Ferguson’s character would be some sort of assassin.
Mission Impossible 5 will be directed by Chris McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) for Paramount and Skydance’s franchise. McQuarrie is directing from a script penned byDrew Pearce and Bruce Geller.
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is the second best Mission Impossible movie aside from the first one. I like Jack Reacher and think McQuarrie will do a great job directing the film.
Mission Impossible 5 is set for release on Christmas Day 2015.
