HAIL CAESAR – Scarlett Johansson To Star In Coen Brothers’ New Film
Scarlett Johansson is in talks to join the cast of Hail Caesar, the new Coen Brother’s movie. Variety reports that Johansson would join Josh Brolin, George Clooney. Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes are also in talks for the comedy from Universal Pictures.
The story follows a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s who is working to keep a studio’s stars in line.Johansson will play an actress who suddenly becomes pregnant as her film is about to go into production. It’s a good fit, since Johansson announced in March that she was pregnant. She is engaged to Romain Dauriac.
Production is scheduled to begin this fall, with Johansson’s role not taking too long to shoot. She recently finished shooting The Avengers: Age of Ultron and will next be seen on the big screen in Lucy. It will be great to see her in the lead kicking ass. Johansson is great as Black Widow, but she is great in dramatic and comedic roles.
I am a huge fan of the Coen Brothers. My favorite film of theirs is The Big Lebowski. I also enjoyed Burn After Reading and O Brother Where Art Though, which Clooney also starred in.
