Drew Goddard to direct SPIDER-MAN spinoff SINISTER SIX
Drew Goddard has found his next directing gig. In December Sony and Marvel announced plans for Venom and Sinister Six movies. Variety now reports that Goddard (co-writer and director of Cabin in the Woods) is in talks to direct the Spider-Man spinoff, Sinister Six.
The Sinister Six is a group of supervillains organized by Doctor Octopus. They made their debut in The Amazing Spider-Man annual #1 in 1964.
Drew Goddard was announced as being a writer on the project in December. Goddard has worked on such films as World War Z and Cloverfield. He is also set to produce and write the Daredevil show for Netflix.
I was really impressed with Cabin in the Woods and think that Goddard is a great choice to direct Sinister Six, especially because he is writing the project. Not much else is known about the film at this time. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
