ANT-MAN Gains Two New Writers
Two new writers have boarded Marvel’s Ant-Man. Latino-Review reports that writing duo Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer will work on a new draft of the a recently revised Ant-Man script by Adam McKay.
Ferrari and Barrer will serve as production writers. They will work on the set during filming in Atlanta making changes to the script throughout production. During production of any movie there are numerous changes made on the fly, so these two will be writing like mad men to make the changes on a daily basis.
Ferrari and Barrer first gained attention with their 2010 Black List script Die In A Gunfight that they wrote while attending NYU. They also penned a draft of Sabrina The Teenage Witch for Sony. This is what brought the duo to Marvel’s attention.
The Ant-Man gig, if it goes well, will definitely lead to more writing opportunities for the two. So far Ant-Man has had a bumpy road, but let’s remain hopeful that production goes well and the film is a hit.
